I think they have a driving range. We asked the clubhouse and he mentioned a driving range but you had to drive your car there. He quickly got busy and we were not able to hit balls. Small putting green that was in rough shape.
Staff friendliness: C-
There was one person in the clubhouse on a BEAUTIFUL Saturday morning. It was apparent he did not want to be there. I asked about ways to create variety when playing the same 9 holes twice. He looked at me like I was from another planet. We ended up alternating blue and white tees from front to back.
Carts (if riding): B
Normal carts, no GPS or extras. Good shape and clean. Carts had ball club washers on them.
Tee boxes: A-
Above average tee boxes. Mostly flat and in great shape.
Bunkers: A+
Sand was amazing and consistent throughout
Fairways: A
Fairways are in good condition overall, no noticeable bad spots.
Greens: A-
Above average greens on this course. They are well taken care of, soft and medium speed. They rolled very consistent and were smooth.
Difficulty: 6.5
This course is not difficult at all. Mountain course with many trees but fairly wide open. Short course that rewards accuracy over distance with 2 drivable par 4’s.
Ambiance: B
This course is located minutes away from downtown Sun Valley. There were a few nice views of the mountains.
Overall Experience: B-
Bigwood is an average course and probably not worth the money. We played here as a last resort because of no other tee times available. No cart service on a Saturday and no marshal helping
